App Store.
Apple.

Set up the “Korean power strip” (MTTL-W01) on iPhone

Zorar controls the strip Egyptians call “المشترك الكوري” from your iPhone: turn each AC outlet on or off from anywhere. Free to download, with no ads.

Will it work with your strip?

Setup steps

  1. Get the app. Install Zorar from the App Store.
  2. Sign in. Use email and password, Google, or Apple.
  3. Get ready. Tap “Add strip”. Plug the strip in near your router, connect the iPhone to your home Wi-Fi, and have its password ready.
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi details. Type your network name and password. Type the password carefully and make sure the network is 2.4 GHz; the app cannot check either on iPhone.
  5. Identify the strip. Scan the barcode on the strip’s label with the camera, or type the code.
  6. Put the strip in setup mode. Hold the strip’s main button for about 10 seconds until the status light blinks fast. The app counts the seconds with you and asks whether the light is blinking fast.
  7. Follow the guided setup. Your iPhone will ask to join the strip’s Wi-Fi and find devices; tap “Join”, then “Allow”, and keep the screen open. The app sends the settings, then the strip restarts, joins your network and appears in your account.
  8. Name your outlets. Give each outlet a name that tells you what is plugged into it.

If something goes wrong

5 GHz network

The strip only joins 2.4 GHz networks. If your network name suggests 5G, pick a 2.4 GHz network in your router settings. WPA3-only and enterprise networks are not supported.

Wrong Wi-Fi password

Check the password, including upper and lower case, and try again. If the strip cannot join the network, go back to the Wi-Fi step and confirm the password and the 2.4 GHz band.

The strip does not appear or connect
